Artist Profile! Jeff Olson
Natick Artists Open Studios 2014 has come and gone and by all reports, a super fun weekend for artists who participated. As you can see by the previous posts, NAOS was held on Saturday, October 18th and Sunday, October 19th and Palettes was a pretty popular stop on the artists tour.
Another busy and popular venue this year was The Barn @3 Malden, with host Jeff Olson featuring some of his amazing recycled art. Jeff is a local Natick father of 3, a contractor/finish carpenter by day, a long distance bicyclist (a 50 mile ride is a warm up for him!) and a artisté of amazing talent the rest of time. His art features found objects from his worksites, pieces of debris from the roadside and interesting junk friends bring him to bring back to life. Doohickeys, thingamajigs and whatchamacallits are a few of his favorites things! He has an eye for altering and reusing these odd and unique items and creating one of a kind art.
