Creativity and Relaxation
As the kids get off to school, and we say goodbye to summer the air is brimming with potential - and anxiety. As I put my 5 year old on the BIG YELLOW BUS this morning for the first time ever my eyes welled up with tears (of joy, and of recognizing the milestone we just reached) and I thought about all that lay in front of her. I am inspired by her courage to get on that bus and meet this new challenge with her beautiful eyes wide open.
Creativity is inherent in our children, why do we lose it as we get older? Why do we lose that freedom to explore and try new things without fear? At Palettes we have a weekly event called "Family Paint" where parents, caregivers, aunts, uncles and friends can join together with the younger lot and get their hands dirty. When people are out of their comfort zone together, magical things can happen. Connections and mutual respect arise out of thin air and common ground can be found.
We are closed for this Labor Day weekend giving tribute to the contributions workers have made for the strength and well being of our great country. The Palettes team would like to wish everyone a wonderful weekend full of laughter, love , well being, and friendship.
